Don't you think that birchbox should really up their game? I mean I'm guessing this on my experience with them. The boxes have been ranging from decent to what the hell really? In reality I don't know what's keeping me subscribed to birchbox. I believe the most appealing aspect is their points system.
The Theme this month is "March Madness" the only madness I see is that disappointing box with that ridiculous nail filer.
The Information Card:
The Box: Birchbox
The Cost: $10 + Free Shipping
The Products: Deluxe Beauty & Lifestyle Samples.
MAKE Eyeshadow in Purple Sage: 0.85g
This new brand's pretty pigments have serious staying power, and we love that one-third of all sales are donated to charity.
My Thoughts: Hmm I rarely ever wear eyeshadow or anything to do with my eyes in general. Unless it's an eye cream or a serum. But anyway this is a smoky purple shade and I can see someone using this as a eyeliner.
MAKE Face Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30: 0.18 oz
Pump up your makeup's endurance and protect the skin with this two-in-one base and SPF.
My Thoughts: I see, I feel like I've been receiving so much primers in these subscription boxes lately. This is a regular 'ol primer but you can also use this as a sunscreen. While I was trying to squirt a little bit of this onto the back of my hand, a large load of white just came rushing out of the container like it couldn't wait to be released. That's a funny way of phrasing it but it was exactly as described.
Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream: .75 oz
The organic shea butter in this foam-free shaving cream makes for an insanely close shave and leaves skin incredibly soft.
My Thoughts: I got the blueberry scent. It smells like sweet tarts mixed with buttercream but more on the sweet tarts. I haven't tried this product yet but I do know that Whish is a great brand.
Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Color Saver Sulfate Free Shampoo: 2 oz
The Hollywood stylist devised this sulfate-free shampoo to enhance the vibrancy of your hue. It's loaded with yummy apple and lemon extracts that boosts volume.
My Thoughts: Whenever I get Nick Chavez shampoos in my subscription boxes they are always a prefect sized sample. I haven't tried this product yet but I always had good results with his hair care products.
Madewell for Birchbox Emery Board: Full Size
We teamed up with Madewell to create this adorable mani savior, patterned after a print from their new spring collection.
My Thoughts: This is so crap. This is also my "beauty" extra. Wow so wonderful! I'm so glad to receive a Styrofoam nail filer. This sucks! I hate it when birchbox gives you crappy extras and little packets of samples.
In Conclusion: I'm literally sick of getting such a bad box from them month after month. Birchbox is one of the most disappointing subscription you can get.
