Ah, the May's Taster's Box..I didn't like this month at all. I was very disappointed in this month's box, very disappointed. I couldn't consume anything in the box (except for the coconut water and the olive oil). So let's get started!
Beanitos Black Bean Chips:
Delightfully crisp and salty, these super nutritious black bean chips make healthy snacking easy and delicious. Try them solo or with your favorite dip as an all-natural, preservative-free, protein- and fiber-rich alternative to corn chips.
These things are vegan, kosher, natural, high in fiber, no trans fat. yeah, sounds great right? for a bean lover! I hate beans and I don't eat chips. I haven't eaten chips in years and the texture is so foreign to my mouth. I don't like it.
Superseedz Sea Salt Pumpkin Seeds:
The tender crunch and subtle nuttiness of plump roasted pumpkin seeds make this salty snack quite addicting. Good thing it’s also nice and nutritious. We’re glad this self-taught chef and entrepreneur started making these munchies in her home kitchen.
I don't eat seeds either (pumpkin and sunflower seeds), I do like flax seed and sorts like that. Never had I seen the appeal to eat these. I find them time consuming and frustrating like a quarter cracked pistachio.
Bronco Bob's Roasted mango Chipotle Sauce:
Bright mango and smoky chipotle join forces in this deliciously versatile sweet-spicy sauce. Try it on grilled meat or fish, as a bold dipping sauce or poured over cream cheese for a simple appetizer. It’ll add pizzazz to any dish.
I can't have this because I'm allergic to mangoes and this has mangoes (sweet lord why?).
California Olive Ranch Olive Oil (2):
The smooth, fresh flavor of California Olive Ranch olive oil compliments everything it touches. From salad dressing and dipping bread to sautéing, grilling and baking, this award-winning oil will make your food sing.
Okay, two samples of the extra virgin olive oil. I can't cook (my domain isn't in the kitchen), but I'll definitely give it to someone who will use it. Olive oil is freaking great!
The sweet-tart flavor of an icy glass of pink lemonade is perfectly captured in these sugarcoated gummy straws.Tart and chewy with a sugary finish, these Blue Raspberry gummy straws will make you feel like a kid again.
I haven't had candy in forever as well and I won't eat them. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Once you avoid and haven't eaten a certain junk or food group for years you won't miss it. And you won't have the urge to put them in your mouth.
Zico Coconut Water:
I think I was suppose to get the chocolate coconut water but instead I have received the original. I'm totally fine with the original (I love coconut water), some coconut water tastes better than most. Zico has a pretty good one, O.N.E also has really good ones, Naked's coconut water was actually the most unsatisfying for me. Zico tastes amazing cold (warm coconut water skeeves me out). I like them and I'll continue to buy them. In a way I wished that I've received the chocolate version just to see if I'll like it. I have a feeling I wouldn't so its good that I have the original.
Oh and I apparently had a Numi Moroccan Mint tea sample but I thought it was just another info card so I tossed it (whoopsy). What ever I don't even like mint teas.
