Birchbox January 2013 Review

The Box: Birchbox

The Cost: $10 per month

The Products: Deluxe Beauty and Lifestyle Samples

100% Pure Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream: 2 mL Value $.15

100% Pure Coconut Nourishing Body Cream: 2mL Value $.15

I finally opened up the coconut nourishing body cream and my god it smells so good. It's super coconutty and it's very warm and a bit buttercreamy smelling that isn't my favorite but it's just a tinge. It made my skin very soft and very hydrated which is appreciated.

When I first saw the samples of the body creams it really bummed me out. The sizes resembled packets of salt. Salt packets were probably filled more than these lotion samples.

the Balm Put a Lid On It Eyelid Primer: 3.7 mL Value $5.63

I never wear any eye shadow so I wouldn't know how this will feel because I won't be using it.

Harvey Prince Skinny Chic: .05 oz Value $2

So this have notes of crisp green apple, sweet mint, and sweet amber. To me this smells like a musky soap, a very green musky smelling soap. And I really don't like that and I hope to never smell it again. I'm also not a fan of Harvey Prince perfumes.

Clark's Botanical's Smoothing Marine Cream: .5 oz $33

I've read some great things about this cream and I used some on my hand. I hope my face enjoys it as much as my hands.

Amika Color pHerfection Shampoo: .68 oz Value $1

This smells really good and it's sulfate free.

In Conclusion: This box was over $40 and it's quite nice, I guess. Honestly though I believe that this is my 6th box and I still haven't been mind blown. I wonder when that's going to happen.
