Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review: August 2013

This is my first beauty box from vegan cuts and I'm completely excited! I occasionally check Vegan Cuts for new products and I always buy snacks and body products from there. I know that they have a snack subscription as well and eventually I'll subscribe, but I currently have too many subscriptions. So let's get started shall we?

Information Card:

When I first opened the box I didn't even look at the info card because I didn't want to spoil myself.

I had two samples of the Sunology facial sunscreen & the body. I didn't even know that they were sunscreen samples until I opened up the pamphlets. I was more attracted to the words telling me how beautiful I am. I have so much sunscreen that I barely need anymore. Ah the Schmidt's Deodorant in Bergamot & Lime, smells super lime-y and awesome. I love bergamot and a citrus together. It's a aluminum-free deodorant cream and this is the second vegan deodorant that I actually remember trying. Unfortunately the deodorant irritated my underarms, leaving them in rashy welts. That was super not exciting. The deodorant cream smells great, kept me dry and smelling fresh, melts to the warmth of your body, pea-size amount is all you need. I would've loved the crap out of this deodorant if it didn't irritate my sensitive underarms.

I've heard of Relogy but I was never interested enough to actually purchase their products. I received the targeted acne spot treatment with seaweed extract. It's a soothing scne spot treatment containing seaweed extract that helps fight blemishes, minimize dark spots, and prevent scarring. Doesn't that sound awesome? well it has salicylic acid in it and I'm trying to avoid acids all together, that's the only thing keeping me away from this spot treatment. Yes, I still get some blemish action and minimizing dark spots and preventing scarring is so helpful. Having a pale complexion and getting blemishes is a problem. After the blemish goes away, it usually leaves a dark spot and that is a huge huge problem for me. I hate it. I want to use it but I just don't know how my skin will react to it. I'm not going to risk a skin reaction just to see if it'll really work.

Omg, the almond cherry body lotion by Lip Glosserie is very strong, strong in fragrance. They say it's a luxurious, moisturizing body lotion with skin-loving ingredients like shea butter and avocado oils. If you know me well than you know that I don't use body lotion or body butters. They feel so gross to me. The smell really doesn't help this product at all.

Ah, nail wraps from NCLA. They are very convenient...but I have to like the design. I'm not saying that the design I got was hideous because it's not. I just barely use any nails things with pinks, blues, and whites.

I got the Perennial Soaps facial soap sample in peppermint tea tree. Hmm tea tree oil, I understand that tea tree oil is amazing on blemishes. I honestly don't care because it is so harsh on my skin. The scent of tea tree alone burns my nostrils. Also peppermint sort of bothers me as well since there's that tingly factor. I ignore peppermint lip balms because of that issue. They make my lip itchy, itchy! Boo! Maybe I'll use this on my body.

Last last thing is a peach tinted lip balm by fancilful fox. They say it's a organic peach lip balm that softens your lips while also adding a subtle hint of color. The lip tint looks frosty, I don't like frosty.

I believe that I'm going to enjoy Vegan Cuts beauty box for a long time. I loved eco emi for months before I cancelled. I cancelled because there wasn't any variety and I believe that Vegan Cuts version will bring it for sure. Even though I didn't love every single thing from last month's box, I still enjoyed finding/discovering brands I never heard of. I'm excited for next month.

Thanks for reading, Bye!
