IPSY Review July Bag 2013

The theme this month is "Beach Beauty" and they're going for that mermaid theme. The packaging is quite shocking to me because it's in a clear bag thingy and its in hot pink. Hot pink. I have a lot of feelings right now. Also I wont be getting any more bags from Ipsy, not because they are coming up disappointing (maybe just a tad) but because I am getting bored. I'm bored! I wished every month was like May (what a great month that was).

The Bag: Ipsy (used to be MyGlam)

The Cost: $10 + Free Shipping (tax in AZ and CA)

The products: Deluxe Samples to Full Sized Beauty

The Information Card:

Sorry about the angle of the picture but yeah, just deal. I have tried Coola sunscreens before and they were good but not good enough to make me want to buy the full size product. This one is for your face and has a spf of 20 (quite good actually) and rose essence. This mineral sunscreen is actually a tinted moisturizer, emphasizes on tinted, this is very sheer. Feels light and keeps my face really matte (not that I'm oily). Smell isn't too bad, has a hint of rose (rose essence, duh, Julie), doesn't make my head swim. The ingredients look good  and it's green friendly and cruelty free.

Next up is the Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Flirty Fuschia ( 0.1 oz Value $4.16), this crayon is seriously bright. I get it if I was a tanned beach bunny but I'm not. I can't rock the whole Bright eyesore pink with pale skin or even tanned skin. I can't and I won't do it. I don't want bj lips. Anyway, why hot hot pink?

I'm starting to feel like Ipsy has a thing for Big Sexy Hair, I received Weather Proof (50mL Value $6.31) and I appreciate it so much! I hate it when my hair looks perfect and then some weird thing happens like a sudden change in weather and my hair gets messed up and frizzy. I hate frizzy hair (I'm currently rocking that messed up bed head look with some frizz action going on). Weather Proof is suppose to be humidity resistant and that's awesome. I don't live in a humid area but I do live in a micro-climate bipolar place.

Ah the palette..not excited about that not excited at all. Isn't this the brand that a large amount of  "beauty gurus" hype the shit out of? Is it the new Coastal Scents? I don't wear eye shadow so I won't be touching this stuff.

Last thing!! Is the Demeter Salt Air Roll On Perfume Oil (.29 oz Value $6), very beachy. I don't actually like the beach. The thought of the nasty sand seeping into my crevices and the ocean air whip lashing me in the face isn't very...sensual (hahaha). The only time I'll venture onto a beach is on a beautiful, exotic, relaxing island. Anyway, the oil is very smooth and it smells exactly like the salt in the air. Not my thing but if your a mermaid you'll obviously smell like the gosh darn ocean, right?
